As 2024 comes to a close, it’s time for me to reflect on this year and look back at the progress, challenges, and growth I’ve experienced. It’s been a year full of meaningful achievements, self-discovery, and exciting opportunities. Here’s a look at my journey through 2024:

Professional Milestones 📝

TThe year began with optimism and determination to continue growing my experience in tech. In September 2024, I transitioned to Eon Health, a health tech company focused on cancer patient monitoring, as a Senior Technical Support Engineer. However, my experience at i2c, my first company where I started in October 2022, remains a cornerstone of my career development.

Goodbye, i2c

At i2c, I spent over two years working in the Fintech sector, gaining extensive knowledge in various fintech domains. I explored plastic money and secure transaction processing including Digital Wallets, 3DS transactions, and ACH payment processing systems. Working with the credit team, I gained deep insights into credit systems, credit processes, and Credit Bureau Reporting. I honed my skills in data analysis, client implementation, API integration, PUSH notifications, testing, and training. My time at i2c was invaluable, and I’ve documented these experiences, which you can find in the attached links.

Buddies Forever

The best part of my time at i2c was the amazing friendships I made, especially with Snovia, Iqra, Areej Samra, and Maryam ❤️, who will remain a part of my life forever. I truly enjoyed being with them and learned so much both professionally and personally. As night shift buddies, we spent hours waiting for each other and sharing group dinners, gaming sessions, trips by after so many debates, and gym time to keep each other fit and smart. I cherish every moment we spent supporting each other — whether it was sorting out problems or empowering each other professionally. Through having many friends and losing a few along the way, I’ve learned that “a friend is the one who empowers you, who stands by you emotionally and professionally. A true friend doesn’t always have to be sweet or kind, but offers honest and constructive feedback.”

Welcome to Eon:

In October 2024, I joined Eon HealthTech as a Senior Technical Support Engineer, a company focused on cancer patient monitoring. The switching to health tech has been both challenging and rewarding. I’m contributing to systems that monitor incidental cancer nodules in X-rays and supporting AI models for breast, lung, thyroid, and abdominal cancers. At Eon, I’ve further developed my skills with AWS, Elasticsearch, and data analysis using Postgres. These tools have played a key role in shaping my work and enabling me to contribute meaningfully to the company. I’ve also deepened my understanding of Git and GitHub, tools I use regularly for version control and collaboration in my work, and Automation tools, and configuration in MERN for implementing client-based use case.

Personal Growth

2024 has also been a year of personal growth. I explored new ideas and pursued various technical projects, including developing an AI-powered code analysis platform aimed at improving developer productivity through real-time collaboration and code suggestions I also made strides in my academic aspirations, particularly exploring AI in healthcare, a field I am passionate about. I dedicated time to research, learning, and documenting my progress, which is laying the foundation for my long-term career goals.

Career

This year, I focused on continuous improvement, strengthening my foundational skills in JavaScript, React, Node.js, and MongoDB. I’ve also begun exploring data modeling and processing for future use. Additionally, I contributed to open-source projects and participated in Hacktoberfest, which was a great opportunity to collaborate with developers worldwide.

Challenges: 😲

The year wasn’t without its challenges. Balancing my work, personal projects, and career development was sometimes overwhelming, but each challenge was a learning experience. I’ve learned that slow and steady wins the race — consistency and perseverance have been my guiding principles. While working on multiple projects, I sometimes found it tough to stay focused, but I kept pushing forward, one step at a time.

Let's Conclude 👊

As I enter 2025, I’m filled with super excitement and purpose. I’m more committed than ever to my career goals. I’m also eager to continue exploring new opportunities for learning, growth, and contribution.

I’ve learned that success doesn’t happen overnight — it’s about dedication, resilience, and a passion for continuous improvement. As I reflect on 2024, I feel proud of everything I’ve accomplished, and I’m looking forward to the next chapter with renewed energy and focus.
